A 3rd Grade Multiplication Game With Pets and a Rocket
Third grade is when multiplication and division facts start to become something kids should know by heart. Pet Rocket turns that practice into a short daily adventure.
What 3rd graders are expected to learn
The Common Core State Standards, standard 3.OA.C.7, ask students to fluently multiply and divide within 100 and to know all products of two one-digit numbers from memory by the end of the year. Pet Rocket practices the multiplication and division facts from 1 to 10 that this skill is built on.
Every school and state moves at its own pace, so use the game to support what your child is learning in class, not to replace it.
Ways to use it
At home, two rounds of one minute make an easy warm-up before homework or a quick practice while dinner is cooking. In the classroom, a teacher can make a link that opens the game with the tables of the week already selected, and print worksheets with answer pages for centers or homework.
Great for 2nd and 4th graders too
Younger kids can start with the 2s, 5s and 10s and add more tables when they are ready. Older kids can use the "Practice what I still find hard" mode to polish the facts that are still slow.
Everything in the game is free, with no account and no ads.

Frequently asked questions
Does the game follow my child's school math curriculum?
It practices the facts that 3rd grade math builds on, but schools differ in order and pace. Ask the teacher which facts to focus on, then pick those tables in the game.
Can teachers use Pet Rocket in class?
Yes. The teacher link tool lets you choose the tables and share a link by email, class chat or on the board. Children open it and play. No accounts or student emails are needed.
Is it safe for kids?
There are no ads, no chat, no links out of the game and no tracking cookies. Kids only type a first name or nickname, and it stays on their device.
