Brand fundamentals

What Pet Rocket stands for, and the words we use to say it.

Overview

Our brand framework in one view. It explains why Pet Rocket exists, where we are heading and what we do today, and it is the base for every text, design and video.

Mission, vision and focus

Mission: why we exist

Make every child love learning.

Make learning so much fun that children want to keep practising on their own.

Vision: where we are heading

To become the world's most loved learning adventure for kids.

A world where millions of children learn, grow and build confidence through play.

Focus: what we do today

Making times tables and division practice fun, effective and rewarding.

Helping children master their times tables and division facts through an adventure with their own pet.

The mission and vision are bigger than times tables on purpose. Confidence is the real goal; the tables are where we start.

Values

Six values we never trade away. If a feature, a text or a deal breaks one of them, we don't do it.

01

Safe

No ads, no chat and no account needed. Children start playing straight away, without sharing personal details.

02

Honest

We only promise what Pet Rocket really does.

03

Playful

Children practise together with their own pet, not just for points.

04

Encouraging

Mistakes are allowed. We cheer every attempt and celebrate every step forward.

05

Simple

One sum at a time. Play straight away. Nothing to install.

06

Like at school

We use the maths signs, words and methods children know from school, in every country.

Brand truth and promise

Brand truth: what parents recognise

A child who gets stuck on the times tables often starts to believe they are bad at maths. Tables only stick when you practise them briefly and often, and when you know which sums are still hard. At home, that last part is usually the hardest. Every table that does click gives a child confidence for the next one.

Brand promise

Discover which times tables your child still finds hard.

Our core line for parents, in every channel. It names the pain parents feel, and what Pet Rocket solves.

In full detail (accuracy per table, the hardest sums, a 14-day chart) this is part of the Moon Pass. The free game shows a short summary after every round. When the promise is next to "free", say what the Moon Pass adds.

Key differentiators

  • Free to play straight away, no account needed. Every table a child knows becomes a planet, so parents see which tables are known. With the Moon Pass they see exactly which sums go wrong, still without an account.
  • Different from the big players. Squla, Rekentuin and Times Tables Rock Stars need an account or a school login. Small privacy apps are paid downloads with at most an overview per table.
  • Times tables and division together, with the signs and words of the classroom in each country.
  • Made by a dad, for his son. Independent of any maths method, school network or government.

Unique selling points

No single feature is unique; the combination is. Pick one or two that fit the pain of your audience, never all eight.

Stop guessing which tables your child still finds hard. Free to play, no account needed. With the Moon Pass, you see exactly which sums go wrong.

Our main selling point: what neither the big players nor the small privacy apps offer together.

For parents: 1 as the headline, 3 as the solution, 4 as reassurance. For schools: 7 with 4 and 5. Points 1 and 2 sell the Moon Pass. Not a selling point: seven languages (a bonus) or "learns faster" as a fact (not measured yet).

Positioning statement

PositioningPet Rocket makes times tables practice fun for children and easy for parents and teachers. Children practise briefly every day with their own pet and get a better grip on their tables each time. With the Moon Pass, they get extra practice on the sums that are still hard, and parents can follow their progress. Free to play, with no ads and no account needed.

Brand pillars

Five pillars carry every message. Pick the one or two that fit your audience; never all five at once.
