Times Tables Coach on
Thank you! Your child now practises smarter
Thanks for supporting Pet Rocket with the Moon Pass. The Times Tables Coach keeps an eye on what your child still finds hard and points the practice time right there. Here is how it works.
And thanks to you, we donate $1 to Teach For All, a global network working to give every child a great education.
This opens the game with the Times Tables Coach switched on.

How the Times Tables Coach works
The Times Tables Coach is part of the Moon Pass. Here is what it does for your child.
How the Times Tables Coach works
- It remembers every sumWith every answer, Pet Rocket notes which sum was right or wrong. It does this per child: whoever plays under their own name gets a coach that knows them personally.
- Hard tables come up more oftenTables where your child makes more mistakes come up more often. Every table from 1 to 12 still comes back now and then, so what has stuck stays stuck.
- Hard sums get priorityWithin a table, too, the coach picks the sums that went wrong more often. If 7 × 8 often goes wrong, it comes up more often than 7 × 2.
- A missed sum comes backIf a sum goes wrong, it comes back a few questions later, while the right answer is still fresh.
This works for multiplication and division. The first games are still fairly mixed: the more your child plays, the better the coach knows what is hard.
What your child gets out of it
- Practice time goes to what hasn’t stuck yet, not to what your child already knows
- Your child doesn’t have to work out which tables to practise
- What has stuck comes back now and then, so it doesn’t fade
- You see in the progress view, per table, what is still hard and which sums are the trickiest
How to get the most out of it
- Leave the Times Tables Coach onOn the start screen, the 🧠 Times Tables Coach switch sits under the choice of tables. With the Moon Pass it is on by default, and it works with every choice: all tables, the hardest (6 to 8) or the tables you pick. The coach then picks the sums itself. The "Keep practising" button also switches it on straight away.
- A little every dayA game lasts two rounds of one minute. A few games a day help more than one long session at the weekend.
- Each child their own nameSeveral children on the same device? Let each child play under their own name. The coach then keeps track of what is hard for each of them.
- Mistakes are fineA mistake is no problem: the sum simply comes back until it sticks. Praise the practising, not just the score.
- Take a look together now and thenOpen "View progress" in the menu and look together at which tables are already going better. Seeing it work is motivating.
